Keratin hair straightening is revolutionary new process that straightens hair naturally by infusing liquid keratin protein deep into the hair cuticles.
The treatment is also referred to as - Brazilian Hair Straightening or
Brazilian Blow dry, as the treatment was first developed in Brazil.
The finished result is straight frizz free gorgeous hair with radical shine, beautiful smoothness, which is healthy and manageable. The treatment can be done on coloured, highlighted, relaxed, bleached, permed or virgin hair.
Also the treatment can be applied over any kind of straightening.
The keratin straightening treatment process is similar to thermal chemical hair straightening (Japanese straightening), but instead of using chemical relaxers to straighten hair. The global keratin treatment is a keratin protein based treatment that straightens the hair naturally without strong chemicals.
The treatment is kinder on the hair, improving it's condition and restoring
resiliency to leave hair strong and elastic. Better yet, it weatherproofs hair against flyaway frizz and the effects of moisture.
It is a reconditioning treatment that transforms the hair.
The keratin treatment is more natural-looking as the hair is not made pin straight - it still has body and bounce - and lasts up to 4 months,
eventually fading out and returned back to its original state.
The treatment may take 2 to 5 hours to complete depending on the client's thickness and length of hair. Costs between $250 to 500.

- Can you do this process over chemical (Japanese) straightening?
Yes. It's safe to apply over any straightener / relaxer.
- Can this treatment be applied on chemically treated hair?
Yes, this treatment can be done on ANY hair type, and ANY previous chemical treatment (coloured, highlighted, relaxed, bleached or
virgin hair).
- Does it eliminate all the frizz?
Yes.
- Is this treatment a relaxer?
No the treatment is a keratin based treatment that straightens and softens the hair.
- Can I have the treatment done after colouring?
Yes. For best results, we recommend applying after you colour your hair.
- How long do I wait to colour my hair after this treatment?
Preferably, 2 weeks after treatment.
- Is it safe to colour process and highlight your hair?
Yes. You can colour and highlight your hair, approximately 3 days before applying this treatment. -
Should I cut my hair before the hair straightening treatment?
No. we recommend cutting your hair afterwards.
- What shampoo and conditioner can I use after doing the Keratin Hair Straightening Treatment?
Use a sodium chloride-free shampoo and conditioner to help prolong the effects of the treatment.
- How soon can I wash my hair after a keratin hair treatment?
Wait at least 48 hours after treatment.
- Why do I have to wait to wash my hair?
We recommend that you wait because it takes 48 hours for the Keratin to seal into the hair cuticle. If the hair is washed right after the treatment, the keratin will be washed out.
- How long will the Keratin Treatment stay on my hair?
Anywhere from 3-4 months depending on how often you wash your hair.
The effects fade away naturally and gradually.
- Can I go into the ocean or the pool after the treatment?
Not recommended. As both the salt in the sea and chloride
in the pool can break-down and weaken the keratin treatment,
which will significantly reduce its life span.
- Do I have to do touch-ups on my next treatment?
The treatment washes out evenly, so applying throughout the entire
head is required.
- Can I use any hair-spray, gel, mousse, or any other hair products on my hair during the first 2 day period after applying keratin treatment?
Styling products can be used after the first wash i.e. again after 2 days.
- What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 2 days?
Blow dry your hair immediately.
- Does the treatment contain any harmful ingredients?
The Global Keratin product we use at the salon, does not contain any formaldehyde, aldehydes or formalin.
- Can I get the treatment done while pregnant or nursing?
We recommend that you consult with your physician.
